Working Together Leads to Change in Housing Policy, Options
The Montana Housing Coalition has a track record of advancing legislation to provide state funding for housing with the support of a broad range of interests. Montana is blessed with many committed organizations, agencies, and community leaders who recognize the importance of housing to our quality of life and to our economy. They work to stretch available resources to meet the needs of our citizens. We honor their work and their commitment.
BUT WE ALL NEED TO DO MORE. With your support we will build on this foundation, using the growing momentum around the need for more housing options in our communities. More education and outreach will be made in the coming months, including contact with elected officials and opinion leaders. The Montana Housing Coalition will also champion legislative proposals that flow from a coherent housing policy. Together we can build a “housing culture” in Montana that will sustain itself in the long term. We want to build support for a “Montana-made housing policy” from as broad a range of interests as possible. As a member, you’ll be kept up-to-date on legislative issues and invited to attend meetings or briefings in your area.
